After weeks of hard work and dedication the boys at Swan EMS successfully completed the 3 peaks challenge on the 30th of November 2019. The 6 members Lewis, Scott, Rhys, Matthew, Stephan and Neil set themselves the challenge of
completing the climb of Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen-Y-Fan within 24 hours.
The Swan boys set out early hours the morning of the challenge and began their day with the climb of Snowdon. The lads finished the challenge with the ascent of Pen-Y-Fan. Despite the less than ideal conditions, the South Wales
winter weather didn't stop the boys and they managed to not only complete the challenge, but smash the donation goal by 72%. £1,725 was raised on the 3 peaks just giving page, almost double the intended goal of £1,000.
All money raised was donated to a local hospice, Hospice of the Valleys. Hospice of the Valleys is the Blaenau Gwent hospice, they care for over 500 people every year with a team of specialist palliative care professionals, dedicated
to providing hospice care. Available 24 hours a day all year round, it is completely free to all patients and their families. Hospice of the Valleys do a tremendous amount of work for the community so here at Swan we are proud
to say the boys completed the challenge for the patients and staff at Hospice of the Valleys.
